Congratulations on your decision to apply for our grants. We warmly welcome organizations with a passion for civic leadership to apply. To accomplish our mission, goals, and objectives, we provide the following civic leadership matching grants as a social investment to form strategic partnerships.

Public Service Internship Grant
Public Service Internship Grant
The public service internship grant provides financial support and training resources to organizations either in the process of or currently initiating a public service internship program that serves underrepresented or underprivileged college and high school students with a focus on civic engagement, public policy, and civic leadership training. Through supporting internship program, CLUSA aims to (1) help build relationships between government and local civic leaders and communities; (2) inspire civic leaders to run for public office and interns to be active in civic engagement.
Grant procedure:
Step one: By clicking the apply button below,register your organization on our website first and provide the required information.
Step two: Submit an application before the deadline and participate program leader trainings.
Step three: If a grant is awarded to your organization, you need to coordinate grant schedule and report process.


Civic Leadership Forum Grant
Civic Leadership Forum Grant
The principal activity of CLUSA is to sponsor Civic Leadership Forums aimed at training Asian Americans to participate in the political process and our civic life. The Forums are non-partisan and inclusive of all Americans regardless of ethnic group or country of origin. The forums have a focus on collaboration and are grassroots foundational. We have conducted over 35 Civic leadership Forums in 12 States and 22 cities in the last three years and raised the awareness of civic engagement in APIA communities.
Letter of Intent (LOI) – one page LOI review; reply on a monthly basis
Proposal – are review on a quarterly basis and by invitation only. (Invitation to submit a full proposal does not guarantee funding (Please do not incur any expense in implementation before you received a written official approval letter; a signed grant agreement from CLUSA.
N.B. – Rolling deadline year round with Monthly for LOI and Quarterly on full proposal.


Capacity Building Grant
Capacity Building Grant (By Invitation Only)
Sustainability and leadership succession are crucial factors for healthy organization. It’s a highly selective and strategic social investment for CLUSA to identify and support nonprofits that in line with our mission and have a strong impact on civic engagement for the community they served. The matching and challenge grant is to build its organizational capacity in order to survive and thrive with a strong infrastructure and resource development capability.

TA grants are review and award in quarterly basis with a monthly Letter of Intent (LOI) rolling deadline. For details, Please contact us as info@clusa.org
Application procedure:
Step one: submit the one page LOI and we will review and reply within 30 days.
Step two: If LOI approved, you will be invited to submit a full proposal for one of the service
grants from above. Our board will review and respond quarterly.
Step Three: Coordinate the Service schedule and reporting process.
