There are three learning paths (Asian American Experience, Civic Engagement, and Professional Development). Each learning paths are pathways to help build your careers as leaders for the AAPI community and beyond.
You can follow one path at at time or select specific videos. The path and videos were created for your own journey.
ASIAN AMERICAN EXPERIENCE
In this learning path, students will get a quick introduction to Asian American history and the rich history we have in advocating for Asian American rights. Students will also get a glimpse of why it’s important for Asian Americans to be socially and culturally aware of the Asian American experience in today’s society.
CIVIC ENGAGEMENT
Students will hear stories, learn about the legislative process, and how advocacy can take form while working in the government sector or sectors adjacent to it. Our speakers will cover how they have been able to advocate for Asian American ethnic studies or how protected the rights for Chinese Americans to cook and sell food important to their culture.
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Let’s make some money! Seriously! In addition to making a great living, students are able to find meaningful work. Our speakers will cover insights that will help you get that government job that is both meaningful and rewarding! In addition to that, students can also pick up important tips around important leadership skills like public speaking.
